Deleting your data

You can remove a connected social account yourself, at any time, without contacting us. Deleting your whole LaunchGenius account is handled by email while self-serve deletion is being built.

Disconnecting a social account

Sign in and open Settings → Accounts (if you joined someone else's launch through an invite link, your list is the Connected accounts page), then choose Disconnect on the account you want removed.

Disconnecting deletes our stored access and refresh tokens for that account immediately — not on a schedule — and marks the connection revoked, so nothing can be published to it again unless you reconnect it. Posts we already published on your instruction stay on the platform; they are yours, and you delete them there as you would any other post.

Facebook Pages work one Page at a time. We connect a Facebook Page, not your Facebook profile, and each Page you gave us access to is listed separately. Disconnecting one removes that Page's access token and nothing else — the other Pages stay connected and will still publish what you scheduled to them. To remove Facebook entirely, disconnect every Page in the list, or revoke LaunchGenius from Facebook's own settings, which does all of them at once. We never hold your personal Facebook user token: it is discarded during connection, once the Page tokens have been read.

You can also revoke our access from the platform's own settings — Instagram under Apps and websites, Threads under Account → Website permissions → Apps and websites, Facebook under Settings & privacy → Apps and websites, TikTok under Manage app permissions. Doing it there stops publishing just as effectively; disconnecting in LaunchGenius additionally erases the tokens from our database.

Deleting a launch

A workspace owner or admin can delete a launch outright from its Plan page. That erases the launch itself and everything in it — every participant's drafted and committed post, the images and videos uploaded to it (the files, not just the database rows), the invite links, and the execution history. It is immediate and there is no undo.

Posts that already went out are the one thing it cannot reach: they are live on X, LinkedIn or wherever they were published, and only their author can remove them there.

Files from your workspace's media library survive, and they work the way you would want. Adding a library file to a post puts a copy of it in that launch, so deleting the launch deletes the copy and leaves the original where it was, ready for the next campaign. Delete it there when you want it gone for good.

Media you swap out or abandon

Replacing a photo, re-cropping one, or closing the editor without saving leaves a file that nothing in your campaign points at any more. We delete those within 48 hours, on a scheduled sweep — not instantly, because the file has to stay reachable long enough for a draft you have open somewhere else to still be able to save it.

Deleting a file from your media library

Removing a file from your workspace's media library takes it out straight away — nobody can add it to a post after that, and the space it used is free again immediately. The file itself is erased from storage within 48 hours, on the same scheduled sweep, so that a copy someone is making of it right now finishes instead of breaking halfway.

Posts you already built with that file keep their own copy of it. Those copies go when their launch or their post goes.

Deleting your account and all of its data

Email privacy@launchgenius.app from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm the request, then delete your user record, your organization memberships, the launches and draft content you authored, the files in your workspace's media library, every connected account and its tokens, and your analytics events. We complete deletions within 30 days and email you when it is done.

If you took part in someone else's launch, deleting your account removes your commitments and your drafts. It does not delete the organizer's launch itself, which is their data, not yours.

Some records survive deletion where the law requires it — billing and tax records, and a minimal log of the request itself so we can prove we honored it. Nothing in those is used to contact you or rebuild a profile.
