# Telegram scheduler

Schedule Telegram posts in advance. Launch announcements publish to a channel automatically, through a bot you add to the channel.

Add a bot to a Telegram channel and launch posts arrive there at the time you
scheduled.

## What publishes automatically

One kind of post goes here: the testimonial. It publishes automatically at the scheduled time.

## The channel is the connection

Telegram works differently from Slack and Discord. There, one connection covers
a whole workspace and each post picks a channel. On Telegram the channel itself
is what you connect, so there is no channel to choose per post, and connecting a
second channel is a second connection.

That makes it the simplest of the three to set up and the least flexible to
retarget, which is the right trade for something that mostly announces to one
audience.

## Limits

Telegram rejects a message over 4,096 characters
outright rather than truncating it, so the composer holds you under that.

## Numbers

Posts on Telegram are not measured.

Telegram reports view counts inside its own app but exposes nothing a bot can
read, so no impression number will appear in a report. Tracked link opens still
work.

## What you connect

You create a bot with Telegram's BotFather, add it to your channel as an
administrator that can post, and give LaunchGenius its token. The token is
stored encrypted and can be revoked from Telegram at any time.
