Connect a Slack workspace and launch posts arrive in the channel you picked, at
the time you scheduled.

## What publishes automatically

One kind of post goes here: the testimonial. It publishes automatically at the scheduled time.

## The channel is chosen per post

A connected Slack workspace has many channels, so unlike a social account the
destination is not settled by connecting. Each card picks its own channel, which
means one launch can announce in a general channel, brief a customers channel,
and thank a team channel, all on their own schedules.

Because of that, the same words may legitimately go to two different channels of
the same workspace. That is the one place LaunchGenius allows a repeated post,
and it is allowed only across channels.

## Why there is no reply or repost

Replies, reposts and comments are feed verbs. A Slack thread is close to a reply
but not the same shape, and until a launch post's thread can be addressed
reliably, offering it would mean scheduling something that cannot be delivered.
The composer offers what works.

## Limits

Slack starts splitting a message somewhere around
4,000 characters, so that is the point past which your
post stops arriving as one message. The composer stops you there.

## Numbers

Posts on Slack are not measured.

A message in a channel has no impressions to report, so no number is coming and
the report says so instead of showing a zero. Tracked link opens still work, and
in an internal channel they are usually the number that matters anyway.

## What you connect

Connecting installs an app into your Slack workspace with permission to post
messages and to list channels so you can choose one. Installing it for a whole
organization additionally lets LaunchGenius deliver its own notifications as
direct messages rather than email.
