LinkedIn's API for individual members covers writing a post to your own feed
and nothing else. There is no endpoint for commenting on someone else's post or
for reposting one, so those two take the assisted route: the author gets a
message at the scheduled time with their text ready to paste and the launch
announcement attached.

That split is not a limitation of this product, and no scheduler can publish a
LinkedIn comment for you. What LaunchGenius does is make the hand-published
half arrive on time and in order rather than leaving it on a list.

## Limits

LinkedIn counts 3,000 characters. The composer folds
the preview where LinkedIn folds it, which is early: the first two lines decide
whether anyone presses "more".

## Numbers

Posts on LinkedIn are not measured.

This is the one honest gap in the reporting, and it is worth being plain about.
LinkedIn does publish analytics for posts written from a company page, but a
post from a personal profile reports nothing an outside tool can read. Rather
than show a zero that looks like a failed launch, the report says the numbers
are unavailable.

What is still counted for LinkedIn posts, because LaunchGenius counts it
directly: whether the post published, how close to its scheduled time, and how
many people opened its tracked link.

Connecting asks LinkedIn for your name, your profile picture, your email
address, and permission to post to your feed on your instruction.
