# Review and approval

Every post is read and approved before it can publish, and organizers can suggest changes but never rewrite somebody else's words.

Nothing publishes on your launch without you reading it first. Posts arrive as
drafts, land in a review queue, and stay there until you act on them.

## The four responses

| Response | What happens |
|---|---|
| Approve | The post is cleared. It publishes at its scheduled time once the launch is scheduled. |
| Request changes | It goes back to the author with your note. They edit and resubmit. |
| Suggest an edit | You write an alternative. The author sees both and picks one. |
| Reject | The post is closed. Nothing publishes. |

## Suggest, not rewrite

There is no button that lets you edit someone else's post and approve your own
version. Suggesting an edit shows the author what you would write; accepting it
is their decision.

This is a deliberate limit rather than a missing feature. A testimonial is
worth something because a real person wrote it, and a tool that quietly lets
the organizer author everybody's words produces twenty posts in one voice.
Nobody publishes a sentence they did not agree to.

## Authors stay in control of their own posts

An author can pull a post back after submitting it, edit it, and submit again.
They can cancel it entirely. If they change their mind after approval, pulling
it back returns it to a draft and takes it off the schedule.

## What review does not gate

Approval clears the words. It does not schedule anything on its own: the launch
still has to be scheduled, which is a separate and reversible step covered on
[launch day](/features/launch-day).
